Frame Relay is a data transport technology which exchanges information over "virtual" connections (Permanent Virtual Circuits-PVCs). The connection is considered "virtual" because bandwidth is utilized only when data is transferred or downloaded. Although the line is always connected to the Internet, Frame Relay allocates bandwidth on an as-needed basis. Because bandwidth is never wasted, Frame Relay is typically more efficient and thus more cost-effective than private leased lines.

With Logosnet NetFrames? you may purchase enough bandwidth to meet your everyday needs (known as Committed Information Rate-CIR), but to ‘burst’ beyond that bandwidth during busy peak times (Peak Cell Rate-PCR).

[ Leased Line Circuits ]

A Leased Line service provides you with robust dedicated Internet connectivity around the clock for the most demanding Internet applications and access requirements.

How it works
It is a dedicated digital line connecting your organization directly onto Logosnet Technologies resilient Internet network. This line is permanently available, as opposed to a PSTN or ISDN line which may be opened “on demand” (when you need it). One of the advantages of this solution is that you only pay a fixed cost to the telephone company, to be permanently connected.

How does Leased Line differ from other Technologies?
With a Leased line a permanent 24-hour per day data connection is established between the users site and the Internet Service Provider (ISP). This is provided in multiples of 64Kbps (kilo bits per second) with the current normal range of 64K to 2Mbs (depends on availability and local infrastructure). The leased line is itself provided by the appropriate telephone company -they must have infrastructure or access to infrastructure at both sites. Leased lines are fine if single connections are needed but are inefficient when an organization needs multiple connections because all sites may need leased lines to all other sites.

Service Options

Deployment
Logosnet Technologies makes it easy. All you have to do is to apply to the telecom company for a circuit.
From there on, we may undertake to procure, install and configure your router. Our extensive experience, will ensure that your leased line circuit and communication hardware as well as our Internet network are all working in maximum sinc, thus maximizing the performance of your Internet connection.
